Sir Frederick Snow & Partners Ltd has recently been appointed as Civil and Structural engineering advisors for the Radcliffe Infirmary Relocation Project at the John Radcliffe hospital in Oxford. This continues our long association with the Hospital, which began when we were appointed as civil, structural, mechanical and electrical engineers for its construction in the 1970's, and has progressed through subsequent appointments for the Cardiology, MRI, MRS and BSU buildings.
This new £90 million PFI project involves provision of facilities for neuroscience, head, neck and plastic surgery, GUM and paediatric medicine and surgery in new buildings on the John Radcliffe site, together with refurbished accommodation for Oxford University embedded departments within the existing JR hospital. The project is programmed to start on site in March 2003.
The Oxford Radcliffe Hospitals NHS Trust has also
appointed Sir Frederick Snow & Partners Ltd as civil and structural engineers for the OBC and PSC stages of a new Oxford Cancer Centre on the
Churchill Hospital site in

This is a continuation of our involvement in PFI schemes, which began with the Amersham and Wycombe Hospitals project, a 'first wave' scheme now handed over to the client, the South Buckinghamshire NHS Trust. We continue to be consulted by the Trust in an advisory role.
