Our involvement with London's major roads continued with our appointment by the London Borough of Southwark as engineers for the design of environmental improvements to Southwark Street (A3200).

Improvements included adjustments to traffic islands, reconstruction of foot-ways and carriageways, design of  new signage and lighting systems, improvements to drainage and provision of landscaping along a one kilometre length of carriageway. The contract has also involved a principal inspection and alterations to a Victorian brick services tunnel which runs nearly the full length of the road.

The project, which Sir Frederick Snow & Partners Ltd is carrying out in association with Muf Architects.
