Improvements to 9.4km of high altitude trunk road passing through
sites of historic and environmental importance to dual carriageway
standards. Porduction of feasibilty studies for various options,
traffic modelling and forecasting. Assessment of scheme economics and
environmental effects. Liasing with all interested parties, attendance
at public exhibitions and inquiry. Production of order plans and
detailed design and tender documents. Co-ordination of works of other
specialists and construction supervision. Project value £15m.
A stage 3 road safety audit was undertaken for the A66, prior to
section being opened for traffic |

Section II encompasses 15km of
2-lane dual carriageway which connects the old Jerash Road Junction
with the main highway of Irbid-Amman Highway. The route included a
pre-stressed concrete bridge and stormwater drainage
structures.Section III encompasses 18km of dual 2 lane primary highway
connecting the Thagret Asfor Area with the existing bridge at the
Zarqa River. This route included 5 bridges, 70m twin tunnels carrying
the dual 2-lane highway and stormwater drainage structuresConsultancy
services provided included contract administration, construction
supervision & a landslide study for the route. |
