Sir Frederick Snow & Partners Ltd has been involved with various landfill projects providing studies, technical advice, design, supervision and construction quality assurance (CQA).

Avondale Landfill
Supervision and CQA of base and sidewall construction, capping and road access works. Current project 10 cells to date.

Levenseat Landfill
Preparation of PPC application

Peckfield Quarry Landfill (below) 
Supervision, certification and design of a landfill site in quarry, using HDPE liner and construction methods to satisfy the Waste Management Committee and the NRA (Environment Agency). Completed 2005.
Peckfield Landfill Cells 1 & 2, 4 & 5 (below)
Review commentary and costing for twelve sidewall solutions. Provision of alternative approved cost effective designs.
Design of vertical clay face solution which has been vetted and confirmed by independent engineers.

Highmoor Quarry Landfill
CQA to cell construction and vertical sidewall liner.

Site in North West
For Biffa Waste Services Ltd. a site apparaisal for phasing of cell construction and rock extraction was provided.

Meadowhall Landfill, Rotherham
Studies, technical advice, contract documentation, cost estimations and supervision of quality control for landfill cell construction and capping. Following this an approved and applied design of stepped sidewall solution.

Scabba Wood Landfill and Sidewall Appraisal
CQA to sidewall preparation works and report on existing construction and options for extensions. Costing of alternatives (including Tipform) and consideration of suitability and construction options.

Howden Clough Beck Diversion
Technical advice, studies, contract documentation and project supervision of landfill construction and beck diversion also including environmental landscaping.
