For this project, financed by the EU, Sir Frederick Snow & Partners Ltd was appointed to draw up a strategic development plan for Bonriki Airport, Tarawa, in the Republic of Kiribati. The Company received previous works, undertook comprehensive site surveys and produced a master plan for the airports development and produced corresponding design solutions

The development plan included the expansion of the terminal area complex, a new control tower and fire, crash and rescue facilities, a new administration block and a study of land use for long-term expansion.
